The Philippines is an archipelagic country located in Southeast Asia. Made up of around 7,100 islands , the country has a tropical weather which is generally hot and quite humid. It is the second most populous country with English as an official language (Britannica.com) in Asia. Having been colonized by the Spaniards for three centuries and then freed by the US regime which ruled for almost five decades, the country is practicing some Spanish and American culture. Roman Catholic is the major religion and English is the second generally used language.
